Creative Writing

Fridays 6 - 7 pm

 

This class will aid students in their creative expression and allow them the opportunity to get constructive feedback to help strengthen and develop the delivery of their writing.  Students will also have the opportunity to share their work with classmates and enjoy a wide range of writing excercises to provide inspiration and variety.  Classes will focus on evaluating the effectiveness of tone, descriptive phrases and organization of thoughts as well as delve into ways to consider other points of view when developing a story.  Emphasis will be placed on the art, technique and process of narrating a story.

Assignments will include poetry, narratives, short stories, scene descriptions and developing a character backstory.

 

Note: This class will be taught by text and will require a  basic level of roleplay/emote skills.
